Eastbound Norwood Lateral Now Closed
The eastbound section of the Norwood Lateral is now closed. It will reopen approximately 80 days from March 11, 2024, which would be May 30, 2024.
In early June, the westbound lanes will shut down, presumably for a similar period of time. More info here.

3:30 PM 3rd Sunday Singalong
Tell your friends and bring the kids! Everyone will pick songs from the Rise Up Singing books.
5:15 PM Open Jam
Musicians bring songs to lead in the circle while others provide backup and harmony. This jam continues upstairs during the concert.
5:15 PM Guitar RoundTable Workshop
Forum for players of any skill to exchange ideas so we can all make better music. Bring a question, share a tip. Learn a new lick or chord. Gain a new perspective, share your own. Enrich your guitar experience.
Performances—6:40-9:00 PM
1st Set: Stan Boric
A storyteller, Stan’s many original songs will make you smile. Sit back and enjoy his beautifully crafted lyrics and distinctive finger-style guitar.
2nd Set: Lenny Hall
A long-time QCB member who has been playing for 35 years now, Lenny’s influences are Doc Watson, Norman Blake, along with many other flatpickers. Lenny says that he enjoys playing fiddle tunes, but he will always work on fingerstyle songs he likes too.
3rd Set: Hertz Brothers
Enoch & Erasmus (Tony Moore and Mike Helm) appear as a dedicated (if not entirely dynamic) duo for your dancing and dining pleasure. The goodly sons of Elijah J. Hertz bring forth tunes both old and new: the familiar toe-tapper, the pandemic-penned & newly-borne. Lend an ear, sing along. Catch a psonic psunbeam.

Performances
6:40-9:00 PM:
1st Set: David Johnson and The First Set
Leo regular, David Johnson, has assembled a group of fellow QCB musicians to back him up. Come listen to his special brand of folk music with David on guitar and vocals, Cynthia McCarthy on ukulele and vocals, Linda Johnson on violin, Dick Males on upright bass and Neil Harrell on roundneck Dobro and harmonica.
2nd Set: Paulette Meier and friends
Music to build peace and community. Paulette Meier is a singer/songwriter, whose strong alto voice has stirred hearts and opened minds for over 30 years in the pursuit of a peaceful, just and sustainable world.
3rd Set: Yard Cars (formerly White Line Fever)
The Yard Cars: Nora Denning, Greg Longeway, Stu Toraason, and Michelle Gillinger, play an acoustic blend of blues, bluegrass and everything in between. With one foot rooted in the Appalachian foothills and the other in the Mississippi delta, they describe their songs as Ohio River Valley roots music. They also like to think of themselves as a barn burning bluegrass eclectic collective. Trust me you’ll like what you hear.
QCB/Leo Coffeehouse Membership
We are keeping our standard annual QCB membership dues at $20.00 for a family, or for a single person plus a guest. Last year, knowing that the pandemic cut into our contingency funds, as we continued to pay overhead expenses with no income, some members donated larger amounts to QCB. We very much appreciate the support of all QCB members at all levels.
We are exploring setting up our website to allow the payment of different levels of dues support. For now, if you’d like to pay the standard dues, you can pay them online here or by a check at Leo. (We’ve discontinued our P.O. Box, I will have a mailing address in the next newsletter for those who wish to mail their membership dues.)
If you would like to donate more than the $20.00 standard dues, you can do so by check, or through our website. When you get to the page with the box to relay instructions, just note that you are paying a larger amount for your dues.
For visitors who prefer not to become a member, a donation of $5.00 (cash) per person helps us pay the rent for our non-profit organization. Donations can be slipped in the box at the welcome table outside our performance room, Founders Hall. If you can’t afford that, pay what you can afford or nothing at all. We will welcome you to join us either way.
