Hello Everyone,

Here’s the latest QCB news.

QCB/Leo Coffeehouse 60th Anniversary

2023 marks the 60th anniversary of QCB and Leo Coffeehouse.  To start our anniversary celebration, some of the original founders of QCB came up with the idea of a weekend gathering, for past and present members, to get together and celebrate.  The weekend chosen starts August 4, 2023 and includes:

  • August 4, 2023-Gathering at Zion UCC

5:30-6:45 PM: Past and present members mingle and talk.  Bring snacks to share and drinks for yourself.

6:45 PM: Set up the room for an audience.

7:00-9:00 PM: Open mic to share stories and maybe a song or two.  We plan to video the stories and songs and share them online.

  • August 5, 2023-Arnold's

Meet at Arnold’s Saturday evening to watch the Cincinnati Flying Pigs, or whatever band is playing that night.

  • August 6, 2023-Song Circles

There’s a choice of two: First Sunday summer song circle at Zion UCC, or Sharon Woods (see more info below).

This Sunday: Leo Coffeehouse June 4, 2023

5:30-9:00 PM:

First Sunday summer song circle at Zion UCC.  It’s the same as our normal song circles except it’s all night.  Come join friends and share some music.

Summer Song Circle at Sharon Woods Park

For those who don’t know, QCB members also run an informal song circle at Sharon Woods Park starting at around 5:30 PM on Sundays during the summer.  You never know if the weather is going to be cooperative, but this summer gathering has been going on for many years and people seem to like singing together outdoors there.  Enter the park at the main entrance off of US-42 (Lebanon Rd.), pass the ticket booth (technically you need a pass, but no one mans the booth on Sunday evenings), pass the first crossroad, cross the bridge and turn left into the large parking lot.  Musicians usually gather at one of the unused shelters to the left (NW) of the parking lot.

I hope to see you this summer.
