Hello All,

Here is the latest QCB news.

Summer Schedule

Due to popular demand from regular attendees, we have decided to keep Leo Coffeehouse—Live at Zion UCC—going this summer with song circles on the first Sundays and open mics on the third Sundays (June-August). We will be setting up our full sound system for the open mics to test the equipment and to give board time to new sound volunteers.

The first indoor summer song circle is this Sunday, June 5, from 5:30-9:00 PM. John Mann will be hosting. (Note: proof of Covid vaccination is still required, but masks are not. If you’ve already shown us your vaccination card, you won’t have to do it again).

I will also continue to host my Zoom Song Circle, Friday nights at 7:30 PM and, if there is interest, my Zoom workshop, Polishing Song Performance, on the first Mondays at 7:00 PM.

Our schedule can always be found on our calendar.

QCB Board News

Due to upcoming constraints on his free time, John Fonner has announced his resignation from the QCB board. Before he left, John was kind enough to find another volunteer to join the board in his place: John Mann. At our May 23 board meeting the board voted unanimously to add John Mann as Vice President of QCB. We’d like to thank John Fonner for his work with the board the past several years and we welcome John Mann to the board. We truly appreciate the volunteer efforts of both John Fonner and John Mann.

2022-23 Season

We are currently planning to reopen Leo Coffeehouse in Sept., 2022. With the availability of effective Covid vaccines and the reduced numbers of severe Covid infections, we believe it will be safe to open again. We’re not sure exactly what it will look like, but we hope to get as close as possible to our pre-Covid operations. We will let you know more about the new season as our plans develop.

Hello All,

I hope that everyone is doing, and staying, well.

With the current surge in COVID-19, we have seen attendance drop off at our workshops at Zion UCC.  We have decided to move the workshops and the Rise Up Singing group back to Zoom.  Dick Males will continue to host the live song circle on Sunday at Zion for those who wish to attend.

With our vaccination and masking requirements, we believe we have made our gatherings at Zion as safe as possible, however, people need to use their own judgment in deciding whether to attend in person at Zion, or not.

As always, check our calendar of events on this website for more information, Zoom links, and the location—virtual on Zoom or live at Zion—of all our events.
