Normally this time of year our webmaster, Scott Nutter, would place a message here saying something like, “We are off for the summer. See you in September!” This year we don’t know if we will be able to reopen in September. It all depends on how the pandemic progresses in our area.
We will continue to monitor the pandemic and the advice of Dr. Amy Acton director of health for the Ohio Department of Health, Dr. Anthony Fauci director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, the CDC, and others. We will let you know the status of the 2020/2021 Leo season later in the summer.
We have worked to stay in touch with QCB members through FolkNotes and Facebook and will continue to do so.
As a reminder, on Facebook we have our main Queen City Balladeers account and our SongFarmers of Cincinnati account which are both for official messaging. Official messages are also shared by email through FolkNotes.
We also have several group pages where QCB members can post:
Queen City Balladeers Members Group: For member music or QCB related posts and for sharing video posts.
QCB Guitar RoundTable (and other musical instruments): To replace the live version of this monthly workshop at Leo where knowledge about playing guitar and other instruments is shared.
QCB Songwriters Collaborative: To replace the live version of this monthly workshop at Leo where songwriter members share their original tunes and offer observations and suggestions to others about their songs. And we have a group page, where I feature the musicians who were unable to play for us after Leo was closed in March, called the Virtual Leo Coffeehouse.
If any of you have any comments or questions, please feel free to contact me at my email address below. Stay safe and well.
President, Queen City Balladeers
