Here’s what’s on the schedule for the Leo Coffeehouse this Sunday:
5:30 – 6:45 PM: Jams & Workshops: Check website for details of all our jams. Tonight:
- Workshop with The Forest Hills Bluegrass Band: FHBB will be demonstrating the use of guitar, mandolin and banjo in creating iconic sounds/song identity, developing color and fill-ins, playing instrumental breaks, and creating songs around a melody. Bring your instrument and play along! Free to Queen City Balladeer members; $5 nonmembers
- Old Time Country Jam: Upstairs room. All welcome.
- Open Jam Founder’s Hall (downstairs). All welcome.
7:00 PM (1st set): Dinah Devoto Half of Red Cedars, Dinah is a song writer and performer in her own right. Her musical career has spanned about 25 years. Music is her best friend.
7 :30 PM (2nd set): Jeff Miller Nashville-based songwriter and “master of the loop/sampling pedal (-Adrian Bischoff, KZSU). Currently touring to promote his fifth full-length album, Loops, featuring legendary guitarist Phil Keaggy.
8:00 PM: Coffee break
8:15 PM (3rd set): The Forest Hills Bluegrass Band High lonesome songs about mountains, trains, rivers, and lost love with a special nod to John Hartford.
