5:30 – 6:45 PM:
Open Jam: Founder’s Hall. All welcome.
Free to members. ATTN UKE PLAYERS! Ukulele Workshop with Erich Sylvester: Will use songs to teach, and hand out pages with words and chord charts; focus on singing with uke; start with some very easy 3 chord songs, then progress to a few songs with 4-5-6 chords, still within reach of moderate skill levels; demonstrate some classic chord progressions & show some alternate fingerings & more! Will use G-C-E-A tuning. Upstairs room TBD.
7:00 PM (1st set): Open Mic
3 10-minute slots.
7:30 PM (2nd set): Neil Harrell
Neil Harrell, who most weekends can be found helping run the stage and sound at Leo, will take the stage to play a handful of favorite songs and/or instrumentals, some of which you’ve heard before and some perhaps not.
8:00 PM: Coffee break
8:15 PM (3rd set):Erich Sylvester

During the last few years, Erich sang vintage Hawaiian and pop songs at the Czech Ukulele Festival in Prague, the Wine Country Ukulele Festival, the Lake Tahoe Ukulele Festival, and the Cicada Club in L.A. He had a 2014 concert date at Ward’s Rafters in Waikiki to sing with his band Hot Steel & Cool Ukulele.
