Here’s what’s on the schedule for the Leo Coffeehouse this Sunday:
MC: Carol Cohn
5:30 – 6:45 PM:
Open Jam: Founder’s Hall. All welcome.
Workshop: Ukulele workshop with Butch Ross! (he’ll take a dulcimer question or two as well if there’s time)
7:00 PM (1st set): Open Mic
3 10-minute sets
7:30 PM (2nd set): Megan Bee
As a naturalist, traveler, and farmer Megan Bee’s music rings with an unquenchable wanderlust and a raw love for the land. True folk-Americana blends over a distinctly homespun voice and an acoustic simplicity. From the rolling hills of Athens, Ohio and frequently roaming the country, she first found her voice around a campfire in the middle of a desert wilderness. Her recent studio album Like a Canyon, features members of the Mountain Stage Band. A Leo debut!
8:00 PM: Coffee break
8:15 PM (3rd set): Butch Ross
Chattanooga multi-instrumentalist and mountain dulcimer maestro Butch Ross has tackled everything from Radiohead to Bach and come away with a renewed appreciation for what the humble dulcimer is capable of. No genre is off-limits, nor is there a limit to what Ross has envisioned for this specific instrument.
