This page is for musicians looking for opportunities to perform. We’ll list venues that provide at least some opportunities for music genres supported by the Queen City Balladeers along with any information we can find about how to inquire about booking a set or signing up for an open mic session.
Christ Church Cathedral
Shiloh Roby, the Associate Director of Music at Christ Church Cathedral is now in the process of scheduling performers for the Music Live at Lunch series at Christ Church for the 2012-2013 season. The series runs from September through May. Performances are Tuesdays, from about 12:10 p.m. to about 12:50 p.m.
Historically, Tuesday Live at Lunch performances have represented Classical Western music. Those responsible for scheduling have noticed a growing interest in non-traditional styles of music and would like support that interest. For example, the 2011-2012 season included performances by The Rabbit Hash String Band, Kyle Meadows and Tisa McGraw, and Ben Lapps, all of whom performed at the Leo.
If you are interested in performing on this series, send an email to Shiloh at email@example.com. Shiloh called this “a great opportunity for groups and individuals to perform in front of an attentive and appreciative audience, and it is also a way for Christ Church to contribute to the downtown community.”
Shiloh will consider any group or individual, asking only whatever the style of music, the performers do it well. The success of this series has relied heavily on the quality of music being offered, and Christ Church wishes to maintain that quality.
